Second-grade student Michael Arnstein of Daves Avenue school and fourth-grader Juliet Barnia from Louise Van Meter School had their original drawings chosen to be featured on the San Jose Earthquakes soccer team's season tickets. Only 16 drawings were chosen from 175 entries received from young artists throughout Northern California. Arnstein and Barnia joined the 14 other contest winners on the Spartan Stadium field at half-time on April 8, for a special ceremony in front of around 20,000 fans.
