Police Report

Grand theft--May 30, 6:42 p.m. on Phillips Avenue. A dog worth $1,200 was stolen from the caller's yard. Police took a report.

Suspicious person--May 31, 8:58 a.m. on N. Santa Cruz Avenue. A caller reported an ongoing problem with a transient who sleeps on the property after being asked several times to stop. Police contacted the transient and warned him not to return.

Disturbance--June 1, 10:22 a.m. on Oka Road. A tenant complained that her landlord was trying to enter the residence against her wishes. Police counseled both parties.

Suspicious animals--June 1, 3:21 p.m. in the Town Plaza. A caller was concerned because two people were bathing their pet snakes in the fountain. Police found no snakes.

Grand theft--June 5, 2:22 p.m. on Greendale Drive. An $8,000 Chinese carpet was stolen while the caller was moving out. Police took a report.

Neighborhood disturbance--June 1, 5:48 p.m. at Elm Park and Bicknell Road. A neighbor complained about loud music from a party. Police contacted the hosts, who turned down the music.

Driving under the influence--June 1, 10:38 p.m. at Los Gatos Boulevard and Los Gatos-Almaden Road. Police saw a truck swerving in and out of traffic lanes. The driver was pulled over and arrested for driving under the influence.

Drunk in public--June 2, 4:31 p.m. at Spencer Avenue and Los Gatos Boulevard. A man was seen sitting on a curb, drinking from a bottle. Police arrested him for public drunkenness.

Domestic disturbance--June 3, 9:04 p.m. on Plazaleta. A man was swatting a woman with a flyswatter. Both parties were contacted by police, who mediated the dispute.

Town code violation--June 4, 12:17 p.m. on Overlook Road. A caller complained about a rooster crowing at 4:30 in the morning. Police gave advice.
