    Los Gatos to host summer sports camps for children

    Softball Camp

    A softball camp for players of all ages and all skill levels will be held June 26-30 at Los Gatos High School. The cost is $104 per player. The camp will cover bunting, hitting, infield and outfield play and sliding. For more information, call 408.354.8700, ext. 229.

    Williams Hoop Camp

    The annual Sid Williams Basketball Camp returns to Fisher Middle School in Los Gatos this summer.

    The camp runs July 10-14 with boys and girls entering grades 5-6 attending from 1-3:30 p.m. and boys and girls entering grades 7-9 attending from 4-7 p.m.

    Wrestling Camp

    The 11th annual Wildcats Wrestling Camp returns to Los Gatos High School for three sessions in June and July.

    Camp sessions include: June 26-30 for beginners to intermediates ages 7-12 (wrestlers with no experience or just one year of camp experience); July 3-7 for intermediates in grades 6-9 (wrestlers with one or two years of junior high experience); and July 10-14 for advanced campers in grades 8-12 (wrestlers with two years of junior high or one year of high school experience).

    Camp hours are 1:30-4:30 p.m. daily, and the $110 fee per week includes instruction, games, wrestling videos, snacks and a T-shirt.

    Veteran wrestling coach Scott Downs is the camp director with Los Gatos High head coach Jeff Garlick the head instructor. Fisher coach John Gizelbrook and C.T. English coach Kyle Hand are members of the coaching staff.

    Summer Hoops Camps

    Los Gatos varsity basketball coach Jim Marino will host the annual Wildcat Summer Basketball Camps June 26-30 in the high school gym. The camp, which runs each day from 1-4 p.m., is open to players ages 7-12 and stresses fundamentals in shooting, passing, dribbling, defense and team play. The cost is $85 per player.

    Each participant receives a camp T-shirt, and the camp features guest appearances by many of the top coaches in the Bay Area.
