The Long, Hot Summer It took a long time for summer to start this year, but now it's here with a vengeance. Thank goodness for Vasona Lake County Park. A favorite spot of weekend picnickers, it's also a popular destination for youngsters enrolled in various day camps. Recently, our photographer caught Southwest YMCA leaders Michelle Lennox (left) and Jesse Bowen having as much fun as the kids they'd brought over to the lake to cool off with water balloons.
