Three new associates join Los Gatos office
Three new sales associates--all residents of the Los Gatos/Saratoga area--have joined the Coldwell Banker Fox & Carskadon office in Los Gatos.
Mary Wright has more than 25 years of experience in the real estate field and was named Realtor of the Year by the Los Gatos-Saratoga Board of Realtors.
Peggy McCarthy joins Coldwell Banker with a specialty in residential properties, particularly in Los Gatos, Monte Sereno and Saratoga.
Sharon Zeiss has 13 years of experience in retail lease negotiations and specializes in residential properties in Los Gatos, Saratoga, Campbell, Cambrian, Willow Glen and Almaden.
Barbara Howard soars to top in sales
Barbara Howard, who works from the Saratoga office of Coldwell Banker/Fox & Carskadon, was the top sales associate for listings sold in the first quarter of 1996 in Santa Clara County.
A current Los Gatos resident and former Saratogan, Howard has been in the real estate field for 18 years, with the majority of her transactions in Los Gatos, Saratoga and vicinity.
Los Gatan earns President's Award
Seven employees of HOPE Rehabilitation Services received the President's Award at HOPE's recent annual picnic. Among them was Patty Anley of Los Gatos, who serves as accounting coordinator at HOPE's Santa Clara headquarters.
The President's Award, which includes a shirt and framed proclamation, is given to employees based on peer nominations and a strong commitment to the organization.
Colleen Wilcox, husband attend conference
Two educators who are Los Gatos residents participated this month in the 55th annual Superintendents Work Conference at Teachers College at Columbia University.
Colleen B. Wilcox, Santa Clara County superintendent of schools, and her husband, Christopher Farmer, an education writer and former superintendent of schools in Coventry, England, were selected through a national screening process.
Prior to becoming county superintendent in February 1994, Wilcox served as superintendent of the Northern Suburban Special Education District in Chicago's North Shore. Farmer was a teacher in England for 10 years before advancing to deputy superintendent for Sheffield schools. His responsibilities in Coventry included Coventry University, four community colleges and the public school system.
Mary Ann McEwan joins The Studio
The Studio in Los Gatos has named interior designer Mary Ann McEwan its director of design and marketing.
A former president of the American Society of Interior Designers, McEwan's responsibilities include providing The Studio's clients with design solutions for home-office and home-theater projects, as well as directing marketing activities for the store.
The Saratoga resident is a California-certified interior designer, has run her own design business and holds a master's degree in business administration.
Molly Rhine joins HOPE's board
HOPE Rehabilitation Services has appointed new officers to serve on its board of directors for the 1996-97 fiscal year, which began July 1.
Among them is Molly Rhine of Los Gatos, a community volunteer who will serve as board secretary.
HOPE provides work training, job placement, supported living, mobility training, professional counseling, day activities and other services to more than 1,600 people with developmental disabilities.
