    Boys Soccer Tourney

    The second annual Los Gatos Cats Classic, a soccer tournament for boys hosted by the Los Gatos United Soccer League, will be held Aug. 28-29 at four area schools.

    The tournament will features 32 select teams in the boys under-11, under-12, under-13 and under-14 divisions. Los Gatos will also host a friendly tournament for eight boys under-10 comp level teams at the same time.

    Games will be played at Van Meter School, Fisher and Union middle schools and Leigh High School.

    Players Needed

    Two Los Gatos Metro boys soccer teams are looking for players for the upcoming select season.

    The Metro boys under-13 Class 1 team is looking for a field player and a goalkeeper, and the boys under-14 Class 1 team is looking for two field players.

    Wood Bat League

    Signups for the fall season of the Wood Bat Baseball League will he held through Sept. 1. There are divisions for players of high school age and also for players ages 9-12.

    Coaches Needed

    Quakes clinic

    Strikkers tryouts

    The Strikkers 16-and-under girls fastpitch softball team will hold tryouts for their winter/summer travel team on Aug. 26-27, at San Jose City College.
