Campaign makes camp in Los Gatos
President Bill Clinton and Assembly candidate Ed Foglia will woo West Valley residents from offices at 14110 Blossom Hill Road.

Ballot initiatives explained
On Oct. 1 at 7 p.m., the Los Gatos-Saratoga-Monte Sereno branch of the League of Women Voters will present an informational program about the November ballot initiatives, including discussions on health care, CCRI, campaign-finance reform and legalizing marijuana.
The meeting will be held in the downstairs meeting room of Planned Parenthood at 1691 The Alameda in San Jose. Refreshments will be provided. For more information, call 536-0802.
United Way kicks off fundraising efforts
The United Way of Santa Clara County launched its 1996-97 fund drive with a goal to raise $22.8 million and increase its pool of donors by 10 percent to 98,000.

Creek cleanup needs volunteers
As part of the 12th annual statewide coastal cleanup day, local residents are being asked to help clean miles of the county's inland streams from 9 a.m. to noon on Sept. 21.
Volunteers are needed for creeks in Saratoga. Call 730-7716 to sign up.
