    Narragon scores for WVC team

The road to the endzone was a familiar one for Justin Narragon as a star running back at Los Gatos High School.

And Narragon was on that road again last Friday when he scored a touchdown to help West Valley Community College to a 20-7 win over the College of the Sequoias.

Narragon scored on a 12-yard run in the fourth to help the Vikings close out the victory.

West Valley had taken the early lead in the game when Jeff Chaussee booted a 31-yard field goal in the first quarter.

The Vikes upped their lead to 10-0 before intermission when quarterback Kyle Padia (Leigh) hit Anthony Stelmach (Pioneer) with a 45-yard scoring toss. Chaussee booted the extra point, as he would later following Narragon's score.

West Valley managed to put points on the scoreboard in each of the four quarters.

In the third, it was a 21-yard field goal that pushed the Vikings ahead 13-0.

Narragon closed out the scoring with his fourth-quarter touchdown, and West Valley had more than enough to clinch the victory.

The Vikings will be back at home this week to host rival San Jose City College on Oct. 6, 3 p.m., in Saratoga in a Coast Conference game.

    High School Hockey

Los Gatos will open the fall roller hockey season on Oct. 6, and coaches for club team are looking for players for the coming campaign.

The team is Los Gatos High School students only, and games are played Friday nights at Rollin' Ice at the Santa Clara County Fairgrounds.
