Water district finds way to save trees





    Police Report

    Speeding--Oct. 6, 7:54 a.m. on Vista Del Monte. The caller wanted police to know the area has a chronic problem with speeders during school hours. Police on that beat will be on the lookout.

    Drunk in public--Oct. 6, 5:20 p.m. on High School Court. A possibly intoxicated man was seen hanging around the large gym at Los Gatos High School. Police contacted him and arrested him for public drunkenness.

    Alarm--Oct. 6, 6:46 p.m. on Bean Avenue. Police responded to a silent alarm call and discovered that cleaners had accidentally activated it.

    Juvenile disturbance--Oct. 7, 7:49 a.m. on Leigh Avenue. The caller complained of a group of young people loitering and smoking in front of a store. Police sent them on their way.

    Person with gun--Oct. 8, 4:29 p.m. on Daves Avenue. The caller was concerned about children who appeared to be playing with a revolver. Police contacted the children and discovered they were playing with plastic guns.
