Coldwell Banker introduces a new home search engine

Homing device gives links to listings

SAN RAMON--Coldwell Banker Northern California has unveiled an innovative addition to its website, www.cbnorcal.com. Homing Device, as the new service is known, is an Internet home search tool that allows web house hunters to customize an online search for homes that meet their specific search criteria, and then receive email notification when listings that match their interest come onto the market.

"Homing Device may be the most significant technology development we've seen in local real estate in the last decade," said Avram Goldman, the company's president and COO. "Coldwell Banker is famous for leading-edge technology and has set the pace for the entire industry."

The service allows clients to log on to cbnorcal.com and customize up to five home searches identifying specific price ranges, home specifications and/or geographic locations. Once complete the service will notify clients daily via email when new Coldwell Banker property listings matching their criteria hit the market.

The email includes a link to the day's new listings, a photograph of the newly listed property, an internal/external virtual tour (if available), the price, property specifications and sales associate contact information (including email address).

"Our clients demand this level of service," Goldman said. "Today's most precious commodity is time and we realize our clients expect and deserve instant information. Homing Device creates this opportunity."

Coldwell Banker's website, www.cbnorcal.com, has become an integral part of the company's marketing program and offers a complete survey of property listings, virtual tours, open homes, list of offices and sales associates and Previews Estate listings (the company's luxury marketing program). Cbnorcal.com includes nearly 100 percent of the organization's current inventory online.
