Dodging Raindrops and Pipes
A pedestrian moves quickly through the rain along Tait Avenue. The town of Los Gatos is ripping up the street to replace the antiquated storm drains. Hernandez, Massol and Tait avenues are all slated for storm drain replacement during the 2000-2001 budget year. Part of the town Redevelopment Agency's five-year capital improvement plan, the storm drain projects will cost just over $400,000. The pipes proved only a minor obstacle for the hoards of trick-or-treaters on Tait Avenue Halloween night.
