Mix after hours with the Chamber

This time, it's a different kind of Chamber mixer.

The Town of Los Gatos Chamber of Commerce will be showcasing the Vintage Home Collection by designer Raymon Waites Thursday, Nov. 19, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at The Rose Collection, 153 N. Santa Cruz Ave.

Cost is $5 for Chamber members and $10 for non-members. New chamber membership plaques will be presented at the mixer.

Repairs to close parts of creek trail

Part of the Los Gatos Creek Trail will be under construction in the upcoming weeks, as public works crews repair a retaining wall and repave sections of the trail.

The trail between Lark Avenue and Vasona Dam will be under construction from Nov. 16 to Dec. 31. Various sections of the trail will be repaved between Nov. 20 and Nov. 25.

Detours will be set up whenever possible. The trail south of Main Street will not be affected by the work.

Participants needed for study

The Los Gatos-Saratoga-Monte Sereno League of Women Voters is looking for people interested in participating in a study on juvenile justice dependency, which will examine the growing number of children placed in foster care.

Barbara Emmerich, a juvenile justice advocate, will speak on the topic at a league study at the Los Altos-Mountain View Chapter meeting Saturday, Nov. 21 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Hillview Community Center at the corner of Foothill Boulevard and San Antonio Road in Los Altos.
