    Reading Room reopens at church

The Christian Science Reading Room has just settled into its new home--right behind its church building at 238 E. Main St.--and is welcoming all interested members of the community to stop in.

After maintaining the Reading Room on N. Santa Cruz Avenue for more than 40 years, church members voted to move it to the newly decorated and more spacious facility on the church property, located across the street from Los Gatos High School.

Every Christian Science branch throughout the world maintains a free Reading Room where the public can sit quietly, study or read the Bible or any of the many Christian Science publications, including the book Science and Health With Key to the Scriptures as well as the Christian Science Monitor, an international daily newspaper founded by Mary Baker Eddy, who also founded the religious movement.

Some reading rooms, including the one in Los Gatos, have a computer for additional religious research.

Reading Room hours are noon to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday, and 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. An attendant is always available to answer questions. All books and literature may be borrowed or purchased.
