Masters swimming

A masters swimming program for those age 19 and older is offered Monday through Thursday, 7-8 p.m., at the Los Gatos High School pool. The program features regular structured workouts for swimmers of all ability levels. The cost will be $30 for July and $40 per month ongoing. Volleyball camp

An advanced volleyball camp for boys and girls entering grades 7-10 will be held July 29-Aug. 2, 4-6 p.m. at the Redwood Middle School gym. The camp is designed for those who have already played on junior high school or club teams.

The camp is run by Tom Jack, head boys volleyball coach at Los Gatos High School, who has 13 years of coaching experience and 10 years of experience running summer camps.

Girls volleyball

The Vision Volleyball Club and Los Gatos High School will present summer volleyball camps for girls in grades 5-12 on Aug. 12-16 in the high school gym.

A youth camp for girls in grades 5-8, to be held from 9 a.m.-noon each day, will be to develop fundamentals and improve ball control.

An advanced camp for girls in grades 9-12, set for 5-8 p.m. each day, will prepare players for the high school season with sessions on conditioning, improving ball control, development of advanced skills and position work.

The cost of the camp is $140 per player and each camper receives a T-shirt. For more information, contact Joe Ripp at 408.356.9181 or at visionvolleyball.com.


Fitness camp

The third annual Sport and Fitness Camp Series for youngsters ages 12-15 is being held at the Los Gatos Athletic Club.

Six-week camps sessions will begin July 22, July 29 and Aug. 5. Camp hours are 12:30-5 p.m., Monday through Friday (with an optional Saturday), and the cost is $275.

The camp will cover the fundamentals of fitness and nutrition, mind-body connection and goal planning.
