Rios on dean's list

Normelena Rios, a Monte Sereno resident and a senior majoring in chemistry and Hispanic studies, is one of 12 Bay Area residents to be named to the dean's list at Scripps College in Claremont. The list recognized 150 students who had achieved at least an A-minus average.


Rineharts on list

Los Gatos residents Lauren Ann and Kelly Lee Rinehart have been named to the UC-Santa Barbara dean's list for their academic achievement. The sisters are both undeclared majors in the letters and science program.


Drexel a dentist

Joel Drexel of Los Gatos, son of Jeanne and Donald Drexel, recently received a doctor of dental surgery degree from the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry. Drexel plans to open a private dental practice in Los Gatos.


Basham on honor roll

Los Gatos resident Ryan Basham was named to the Creighton University honor roll. Students were selected for maintaining a minimum GPA of 3.5 while enrolled full time.


Miller makes list

Lorilin Miller of Los Gatos recently made Azusa Pacific University's dean's list. Miller is a biblical studies major and was one of 1,112 students to be recognized for maintaining a GPA of 3.5 or better.


Segnitz wins art honor

Los Gatos resident Rohner Segnitz was awarded the Mendelowitz Memorial Scholarship at Stanford for his work in the art department. Segnitz recently graduated from Stanford with a degree in studio art.


Vaishnav on dean's list

Neil Vaishnav of Los Gatos was named to the dean's list at Columbia University. Students were chosen from the university's two undergraduate schools--Columbia College and the Fu Foundation School of Engineering and Applied Science--for having a GPA of 3.3 or higher.
