Quakes tryouts

The Silicon Valley Quakes, the South Bay area's longest uninterrupted traveling roller hockey program, will be holding its 200203 tryouts on Sept. 8 and 15 at Rollin Ice in San Jose.

The Quakes plan to field four teams the upcoming season--mites (birth years 1992, '93), squirts ('90, '91), peewees ('88, '89), and bantams ('86, '87).

Tryouts for mites and squirts will be held from 7 to 8:30 a.m., and tryouts for peewees and bantams will be held from 8:30 to 10 a.m. The cost to try out is $5, and players should bring both a light and dark jersey to tryouts.

Anyone interested in an assistant coaching position with the Quakes, or anyone seeking additional information on the Quakes program, should contact Dave Inouye at sportcrze@aol.com.
