The bride is the daughter of Charles E. Brandes of Greenbrae and Barbara G. Brandes of Sacramento. A graduate of UC-Santa Cruz, she is the program director for The Learning Exchange in Sacramento.

The groom is the son of Alan A. and Robin H. Michaels of Los Gatos. A graduate of Westmont High School and UC-Santa Cruz, he is a marketing manager with Salu Inc. in Granite Bay.

The couple resides in Sacramento.
