Sick Person—Nov. 7, 11:42 p.m. A woman in a bar was reported down on the women's bathroom floor. She was conscious and breathing and had had only two drinks, so she was not drunk. Paramedics took her to the hospital and police took a report.
Storm—Nov. 7, evening. Flooding was reported on Mariposa, University Avenue near Vasona Park, Shannon Road near Blossom Hill Park, the Los Gatos Town Council Chambers at 110 E. Main Street and the intersection of Winchester and Lark Avenue. There were also trees down blocking traffic at Mary Alice Road, Shannon Heights and Shannon Road, Los GatosAlmaden Road and Blossom Hill Road. One fallen tree at SaratogaLos Gatos Road caused a fire truck to be stuck.
Traffic Hazard—Nov. 7, 7:42 p.m. On Hicks Road, a vehicle was stalled in a puddle in the middle of the road. The whole street was flooded and needed barricades. Town staff closed the road in both directions and had the car towed.
Injured Person—Nov. 7, 7:05 p.m. A tree fell down, trapping a person under it. The victim was taken to the hospital.
Shoplifting—Nov. 7, 10:57 a.m. A man wearing some kind of uniform went to a Los Gatos Boulevard business. The man took a white leather cell phone case and left. Store management took down his vehicle information, however, and police traced it to a car owner who was on active parole for possession of drugs for sale.
Unstable Person—Nov. 7, 9:25 a.m. A woman said her son was ranting and raving, refusing to go back for substance abuse treatment. She told police he was on medication and anti-depressants. The man was taken to emergency protective services and arrested.
Robbery—Nov. 6, 2:48 p.m. Someone threw a rock through a Wraight Avenue home's window, shattering the glass. The resident also noticed that some drawers in bedroom were moved. There was nobody in the house and nothing missing, except the resident's clothes had been rifled through. Police checked for possible witnesses.
Suspicious Vehicle—Nov. 6, 2:42 p.m. A car that looked suspicious was parked near Vista Del Monte and Jared Lane. Police traced the vehicle's registration tags to a marketing company in Georgia. The driver returned and was warned not to solicit anymore in Los Gatos.
