Stray Animal—Nov. 13, 11:14 p.m. A Mercedes was parked on University Avenue at Miles Avenue. Someone smashed in the windows. The driver of the vehicle had a dog inside the car, but the animal was gone. The victim told police that it had happened within the past four hours. There was no suspect information; police filed a report.
Possession of Marijuana—Nov. 13, 7:34 p.m. Someone was at Blossom Hill Park and passed by two teenage boys possibly smoking marijuana. The person told police that the boys "looked guilty." Police searched the park and the playground area, but the suspects were gone.
Possession of Marijuana—Nov. 13, 7:15 p.m. Six juveniles—boys and girls—were hanging out in the back parking lot of a Los Gatos Boulevard market, smoking something that resembled marijuana. Youths reportedly often loiter there. Police investigated the call and said the suspicion was unfounded; the group was drinking water and eating pizza.
Theft—Nov. 12, 1:05 p.m. A teenager was seen going through the mail of a De Soto Drive residence. Police confronted the 13-year-old boy, who had taken a Victoria's Secret catalog from the address. He was cited and then taken to a counselor at a children's shelter.
Battery—Nov. 12, 12:34 p.m. A man assaulted another man at Oak Meadow Park and injured his lip. The suspect showed up at the police department and was arrested for battery.
Welfare Check—Nov. 11, 11:15 p.m. An elderly woman was wandering near Daves Avenue School. Someone found her and walked her to her home, where she lived by herself. Police were unable to contact her nephew but left a message on his cell phone. The woman was confused and looking for her mother. Police advised her to stay inside.
Drugs—Nov. 11, 11 p.m. Police conducted a traffic stop on Leigh Avenue. There were two men and two women inside the car. One of the women was cited and released for driving with a suspended driver's license; the other was arrested for having drug paraphernalia and being under the influence of drugs.
