Holiday Lighting New Mayor Wasserman wins big
Monte Sereno City Council recommended that Alan Aerts work with his neighbors on a compromise when hearing residents' concerns about distracting holiday decorations.  More Los Gatos council members unanimously appointed Sandy Decker to replace outgoing Councilman Randy Attaway.  More Mike Wasserman' vow to canvass all the neighborhoods in town paid off, as he took the lead in all but two of the 23 polling places.  More

Tree Lighting Students study trail Thanksgiving feasts abound
Annual events to mark the start of the holiday season are scheduled for Dec. 6. A tree-lighting ceremony is scheduled from 4 to 7 p.m. and horse-drawn carriage rides also will begin that evening.  More Elementary school students studied the Los Gatos Creek Trail and have proposed improvements. Eight students from four area schools presented their finding to the Los Gatos Planning Commission for consideration.  More When the pilgrims in Massachusetts gratefully prepared a feast with their first bountiful harvest in 1621, they did it to thank God, and it was the first Thanksgiving Day in America.  More
