talking trash
Los Gatos High School students got the dirt on hazardous waste Nov. 26 from the County of Santa Clara Household Hazardous Waste Program. Employees from the program visited several junior and senior classes to teach about the dangers of household chemical products and the need to dispose of them properly.
The students, who have been studying hazardous waste in their chemistry classes, will visit local elementary schools on Dec. 4 to lead a series of presentations concerning the potential threat hazardous household materials have to the environment, as well as proper disposal methods.
