The brand-new Hotel Los Gatos and Kuleto's Restaurant are the location of the Town of Los Gatos Chamber of Commerce's holiday mixer. The mixer, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. on Dec. 4, includes raffle prizes, beverages and hors d'oeuvres.

Cost is $5 for Chamber members and $10 for nonmembers. To see if there is still space available for reservations, call 408.354.9300. Hotel Los Gatos and the adjacent restaurant are at 210 E. Main St. Both opened Nov. 18, and Kuleto's was scheduled for a grand-opening party Dec. 3.


Television show tours downtown

Evening Magazine is scheduled to come to town Dec. 5 to tape a segment that will air Dec. 9. The show will start off at the Toll House Hotel and take a tour of the downtown area and the Almond Grove District, following the route that the carriage rides will take.

The segment will then be on TV on Monday, Dec. 9, at 7 p.m. Evening Magazine is on KPIX Channel 5.


Neighborhood needs gifts for toy drive

The Live Oak Manor neighborhood is having its third annual Toys for Tots drive from 2 to 4 p.m. on Dec. 7. The drop-off location is 257 Longridge Road, where residents will collect new, unwrapped toys to give to Toys to Tots, which will then distribute the gifts to needy children.

Santa Claus will be stopping by to visit the kids in the neighborhood. The drive collected more than 300 toys in the neighbors' first attempt in 2000.
