Los Gatos High band holds winter concert

As a celebration of the holiday season, the Los Gatos High School band, symphony orchestra, jazz ensemble and marching band will be performing on Dec. 18 at 7:30 p.m. in the Prentiss Brown auditorium. The winter concert is open to the entire community. Admission for the performance is $5 for adults and $3 for students and seniors.


High school district names new officers

The Los Gatos Union School district selected Tina Orsi-Hartigan as the new president of the board of trustees and Dorothy Rouse as the new board clerk at the Dec. 10 board meeting.

Kathleen Bays was elected to be the new representative for the county committee on school district organization and the county school board association. Rouse and Phil Couchee were elected as representatives for the facilities committee, Alex Granas and Bays for the investment committee, Orsi-Hartigan and Bays for the parcel tax committee, Orsi-Hartigan and Couchee for the budget committee and Granas and Rouse for the citizens bond oversight committee.


Bancroft passes bar exam

Monte Sereno resident Royce Elizabeth Bancroft recently passed the California bar exam and has joined the law firm of Feinberg, Mindel and Kline in Los Angeles. Bancroft, who graduated cum laude from Tulane University Law School in New Orleans, will be specializing in civil litigation.
