Community can engrave cupola's bricks

To raise money for the bandstand that will support the Lyndon cupola, the Los Gatos Community Foundation is offering the community the option of engraving the bricks that will surround the bandstand. For $150, each brick can have up to eight words.

According to Paul Dubois, foundation president-elect, purchasers receive a certificate and a tax deduction for the brick. There are 370 bricks on the bandstand, and all sales must be made by April. For more information, contact Dubois at 408.354.8787.

Chamber has new town souvenirs

The Town of Los Gatos Chamber of Commerce has received shirts and other goods with a new logo. The Chamber is selling stainless steel mugs and long- and short-sleeved shirts for adults and children, ranging from $10 to $32.50. The new logo has "no cats; it's very tasteful, very simple," says executive director Ronee Nassi. Clothing is in "neutral colors" of black or tan.

Nassi says merchandise with the old logo is on sale. The items include ceramic mugs, baseball caps and pens. Call the Chamber at 408.354.9300 for more information.
