Helene Zimnicki-Felix
Longtime Los Gatos resident Helene Lenore Zimnicki-Felix died Dec. 24 at the age of 54.
Zimnicki-Felix was born June 27, 1948, in San Francisco but lived most of her life in Los Gatos. A graduate of Stanford University with a degree in art history, she held several jobs, including working as a designer at the Berkeley Art Museum and serving as a partner in a children's boutique in Brooklyn Heights, N.Y. Locally, she worked alongside her husband, Michael, at Saratoga Door & Window.
She was an active volunteer in Los Gatos schools, a past president of the Art Docents of Los Gatos and a member of the First Church of Christ, Scientist in Los Gatos and the Swedish Valhund Kennel Club.
Survivors include husband of 26 years Michael Child Felix of Los Gatos; daughter and son-in-law Alicia and Joshua Rogers of Los Gatos; son Luke Child Felix of Los Gatos; mother Margaret Zimnicki of Santa Cruz; brothers Michael and Tim Zimnicki and sister Terry Riley, all of Santa Cruz.
Memorial services will be held Jan. 5 at 6 p.m. at the Saratoga Foothill Club, located at 20399 Park Place in Saratoga. Donations can be made to the American Cancer Society of Santa Clara County, 1715 S. Bascom Ave., Suite 100, Campbell, 95008-0655.
