Chamber will hold women's round table
The Town of Los Gatos Chamber of Commerce will hold a women's financial round table on Wednesday, Jan. 8, starting at 7 p.m. Chamber members and their guests will participate in a discussion on the personal and professional financial challenges facing women. Three women professionals will lead the discussion.

Community to discuss streetscape
The town will hold a community meeting to explain and receive public input on phase two of the downtown streetscape project on Friday, Jan. 10, from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m.
Sidewalk work and landscaping and lighting improvements will begin in April on N. Santa Cruz Avenue, from just south of Highway 9 to just north of Bachman Avenue. Along with N. Santa Cruz, workers will revamp Grays Lane, widening sidewalks and narrowing the street. The meeting is geared toward merchants whose businesses will be impacted by the work.

Applications for new VIPs due Jan. 17
The Los GatosMonte Sereno Police Department is looking for residents to become new Volunteers in Policing (VIPs). The VIPs, who spend at least four hours a week performing various police-related duties, must submit their applications to the department by Jan. 17. The application process also includes interviews. If accepted, the VIPs must attend a VIP Academy from Feb. 3 to 8.
