Disturbance—Jan. 9, 4:31 a.m. A resident of the Los Gatos Mobile Home Park complained that there was a transient male making noise on the creek trail behind his mobile home. Police gave the transient advice and he promised to move out the next day.
Unstable Person—Jan. 9, 1:56 a.m. A person inside a N. Santa Cruz Avenue home was breaking the house's windows. Police were told the person inside may have been cut badly from the broken glass. Police found a television in the middle of the street but nobody around. In the house, there was an intoxicated man upset over a pending court case and his personal problems. He was arrested for being an unstable person and taken to emergency protective services. He claimed that he had people over who broke all the windows, but he was the only person home.
Suspicious Vehicle—Jan. 8, 9:01 p.m. Behind a N. Santa Cruz Avenue store, two to three people were sitting in a white car. They appeared to be wearing black masks and playing with a gun. Police found that it was one person buying a paint gun and mask from another.
Arson—Jan. 8, 11:47 a.m. A group of juveniles lit a Christmas tree on fire on Church Street. There was no structural danger, and the fire was quickly put out. Police took a report.
Possession of Marijuana—Jan. 7, 11:48 p.m. A suspicious vehicle was parked in a Winchester Boulevard parking lot. The car had been backed into the parking space and had no license plate. There were three 17-year-olds and one 18-year-old inside the car. One of the minors was charged with possessing more than 28.5 grams of marijuana. He was not on active probation and there were no warrants for his arrest; however, he was already in police records for possessing alcohol and marijuana in the past. Police arrested and cited him and then released him to his mother.
Indecent Exposure—Jan. 6, 10:41 a.m. A red Honda Civic was weaving through traffic, and one of the passengers mooned the driver of another vehicle. The reporting party said the driver looked to be 16 years old. The car was parked near Belgatos Park and the reporting party told police that it looked like the teenagers were smoking something. When police arrived at the park, there were no vehicles matching the description given.
Sex Offense—Jan. 6, 9:06 a.m. A woman living in a SaratogaLos Gatos Road house said her handyman had drilled holes into her 15- and 17-year-old's bedrooms and bathroom. She was concerned for her children. She also said she had found pornographic magazines at her home. The woman told police that she had filed a complaint with the Monte Sereno city attorney. Police went to her home; neither she nor the handyman were there. They took an information report.
Argument—Jan. 5, 6:48 p.m. At a Union Avenue store, a man was upset because he had purchased an already opened beer but the store would not give him back his money. The man was abusive to the store employees. One of the employees told the man to leave, which he did. The reporting party cancelled the 911 call.
