Los Gatos will host all-comer track and field meets each Saturday through March 1 at the high school track. Field events begin at 12:30 p.m., and running events start at 1 p.m. The fee is $3 per athlete for unlimited events and $2 for spectators. Home for athlete

The Los Gatos High School track and field team is looking for a home for Sascha Weiler, a male foreign exchange student from Germany, for the 2003­04 school year (September through June).

Weiler, 15, speaks English, is a strong student whose favorite subjects are English and history and is a pole vaulter.

Little League

The Los Gatos Little League will hold player evaluations on Jan. 25 at Baggerly Field at Blossom Hill School for all registered players.

Player evaluations are slated for Jan. 25—9­10:30 a.m. for 12-year-olds; 10:45a.m. ­12:30 p.m. for 11-year-olds; 1­3 p.m. for 10-year-olds; 1­3 p.m. for 9-year-olds on the AA field; and 3­5 p.m. for 8-year-olds on the AA field. The player evaluation sessions are mandatory, and players should arrive 15 minutes early.

The Bay Area Sports Hall of Fame (BASHOF) is accepting grant applications from youth organizations and schools interested in purchasing new sports equipment.
