Los Gatos Mayor Sandy Decker will deliver the annual State of the Town address in the council chambers, at 110 Main St., at 6 p.m. on Feb. 5. The mayor is expected to provide an update on the fiscal health of Los Gatos and an overview of town council and community priorities. Previously, the mayor had suggested that topics would range from a proposed economic vitality roundtable and town gateways to the downtown streetscape project and youths in the community.
This year, the State of the Town address will be presented in a different venue than previously. In prior years, the address was delivered during an installation dinner for new board members for the Town of Los Gatos Chamber of Commerce. According to Jenny Haruyama, the town's administrative analyst, the event is now open to the public, and more seating is available in the council chambers. Mayor Decker's speech, expected to last about 25 minutes, will be followed by a reception.
