California Fencing Academy turns out some of the nation's top fencers

Some of the nation's top fencers have trained at the California Fencing Academy, which was founded in Los Gatos. The highly trained staff members, many of whom are ex-champions themselves, are headed up by fencing master Dan Tibbetts, who says one of his foremost goals is to instill the "art, science and discipline of the sport" in his students.  More

School budget cuts Traffic calming Home expansion
Though details on state funding for the Los Gatos Union School District won't be known for several months, district board members must take steps to solidify their budget within the next few weeks.  More Residents of the Chirco-area neighborhood who are fed up with drivers speeding and using their streets as a cut-through can now look forward to traffic-calming measures in the next several weeks.  More The Los Gatos Town Council has reversed a planning commission decision regarding the expansion of a home on University Avenue. While the plan's floor area ratio still exceeds the maximum allowable limit, council members voted to approve the project.  More
