Police Report
Unstable Person—March 26, 6:24 p.m. A 27-year-old quadriplegic who lived on Viewfield Road was out of control, breaking a table and running into his father. The man left on Arlee Drive in his wheelchair. Police tried but were unable to stop him. An ambulance was called to transport him to Valley Medical Center.

Suspicious Vehicle—March 26, 3 p.m. A van was parked on Shelburne Way near University Avenue. The car was occupied by a man who appeared to be a transient. Somebody called the police, saying the man lived in the van, which had been parked there several weeks. Police said they had contacted the subject previously and believed that the car had broken down. No report was filed; the man inside was eating pizza and said he would move later.

Vehicle Accident—March 26, 2:01 p.m. In a parking lot off N. Santa Cruz Avenue, one car hit the other while it was going 25 miles per hour. One of the drivers went to hospital because the accident gave her a headache.

Prowler—March 26, 2:01 a.m. A woman heard something walking outside her Towne Terrace apartment building. She thought it might be an animal because she heard kittens crying, but she didn't see anything. There was no prowler, just kittens.

Drunk in Public—March 25, 11:34 p.m. An intoxicated woman was following a group of four as they walked down N. Santa Cruz Avenue. Police called a cab to take the woman home.

Domestic Disturbance—March 25, 11:31 p.m. On Calle Marguerita, one resident heard a neighboring couple arguing and a baby crying. There was no report filed because the father was playing with his son. The family agreed to go to sleep.

Drunk in Public—March 25, 9:39 p.m. Two men were sitting on E. Main Street, drinking beer and making rude comments to passersby. Police let them go; one man said he was walking home while the other was on his way to a church meeting on University Avenue.

Disturbance—March 25, 4:08 p.m. A man was outside a N. Santa Cruz Avenue business causing a disturbance. He had been advised in the past that he was not welcome there but refused to leave, yelling obscenities at customers and passersby. He left before police arrived. The business owner agreed to obtain a restraining order and promised to call police if the man returned.

Disturbance—March 25, 2:33 p.m. A driver was followed and threatened by someone in a red Nissan truck. While the driver went to the police department, the Nissan, which was occupied by three men, turned left onto Villa Avenue. The Nissan had been following the first car since they were driving on Los Gatos­Saratoga Road. Police confronted the men in the Nissan, who were upset because the first driver had pulled off of Highway 17 in heavy traffic, causing the Nissan to swerve.
