LG Bar & Grill seeks modified use permit

The Los Gatos Town Council will hold a public hearing April 7 regarding the Los Gatos Bar & Grill's request for modifications to its conditional use permit. The restaurant is seeking permission to extend its hours from 11 p.m. to 1 a.m. on Thursdays and to serve alcoholic beverages independent of meal orders in a new cafe area. The council meeting will begin at 7 p.m. in the council chambers.

Crimestoppers honors officer D'Antonio

Silicon Valley Crimestoppers on March 28 gave a special recognition award to Mike D'Antonio, a patrol and field training officer with the Los GatosMonte Sereno Police Department. The department nominated D'Antonio for the honor because of his work on various cases, having cleared 19 burglaries. "He's really tenacious and does good follow-through," said Capt. Alan Forrest.

D'Antonio has spent three of his seven years in law enforcement at the department. He said he is focused on community policing--talking to residents and resolving their problems. "A lot of times, that's something as simple as extra patrols," D'Antonio said.

Council names six to board commissions

The Los Gatos Town Council recently appointed Steven Graham and Richard Konrad, as well as student Andrew Lee, to the parks commission; reappointed William Kraus and Gerry Mirassou to the rent advisory committee; and appointed Michael Baroni to the personnel board.
