General Plan group to hold public hearing

The Los Gatos General Plan Committee has called a special two-hour public hearing on April 16 to discuss a proposed telecommunications ordinance. The purpose of the ordinance is to set specific criteria and guidelines for the location and design of cell phone towers. Last year the town council set a moratorium on approving wireless communication facilities until an ordinance had been drafted. That moratorium will expire in July. A draft of the ordinance is available for review at town hall, 110 E. Main St. The April 16 meeting will begin at 5:30 p.m.
