Alumni game

The Los Gatos baseball team and Friends of Wildcat Baseball will host a special alumni baseball game on May 3 at the newly renovated Los Gatos High School baseball diamond.

Registration begins that Saturday at 10 a.m. Players in odd and even graduating years will make up the teams for the day's game, and Los Gatos Meats and Smokehouse will sponsor a post-game barbecue. The $60 cost includes lunch, a cap and a T-shirt. Lunch for all others is $7.50 ($2 for kids under 13). All proceeds go to the Los Gatos High School baseball program. LGLL workshop

The Los Gatos Little League, with cooperation from the Positive Coaching Alliance, will host a workshop for coaches on April 27, 5:30 p.m., at the Los Gatos Recreation Center, Room 8, 123 E. Main St. The clinic is mandatory for all coaches and managers in the T-ball through major divisions.

The alliance is a Stanford-based nonprofit organization that stresses how "youth athletics presents a tremendous opportunity for athletes to develop life skills that will serve them well beyond the playing field," according to Mark Carlquist of the LGLL.

Los Gatos soccer

Registration for the Los Gatos United Soccer League's fall season will be held on April 21, 7­9 p.m., and April 30, 7­8:30 p.m., at Daves Avenue School, and on April 24,
7­8:30 p.m., at Alta Vista School.
