Recovered Stolen Vehicle—April 16, 11:09 p.m. A suspicious vehicle was being driven from Union Avenue toward Los GatosAlmaden Road. The car went into a parking lot, where police stopped the driver. The 46-year-old driver was detained for driving a stolen vehicle. The car was towed.
Spouse Beating—April 16, 6:05 p.m. San Jose police were looking for a 24-year-old man for spouse beating. The man was an employee of a Los Gatos Boulevard business. Before police took him into custody, the man tried to find another employee to cover for him. Once he found a replacement, Los Gatos police took him to the San Jose Police Department.
Juvenile Disturbance—April 16, 5:48 p.m. On Loma Alta Avenue, a group of 14- to 17-year-olds was playing football in the street. Their game was blocking traffic and creating a possible hazard. Police gave the teenagers advice and had them go to another location.
Suspicious Person—April 16, 5:03 p.m. A man had been sitting in front of a N. Santa Cruz Avenue store for two hours and asked someone going in if a certain woman was working in the store. The woman reported the man to the police, saying she did not know him. He was described as "looking like one of the Blues Brothers." Police confronted the man, and he said he was there to meet someone he had met over the Internet. He was told to stay away from the store employee.
Vandalism—April 16, 2:11 p.m. A car parked on Barry Lane had its rear window broken overnight. The perpetrator reportedly threw large rocks at the car. The vehicle's owner said it was the second time it had happened in two weeks.
Domestic Disturbance—April 15, 10:19 p.m. Inside a Bennett Way home, a man and a woman were hitting each other. Their 12-year-old niece called police from a neighbor's house. She said there were no guns in the house. Police took an information report.
Fraud—April 15, 4:25 p.m. A woman forged her ex-boyfriend's name on some DMV documents for their vehicle. The ex-boyfriend made a report to the police.
Malicious Mischief—April 15, 2:01 p.m. An unknown subject used a blower to shift bark from a parking strip on Ayala Court to a private lawn across the street. Police gave the victim advice, and the resident agreed to take pictures of the bark and check the neighborhood for vandals.
Domestic Disturbance—April 15, 12:35 p.m. A 13-year-old was fighting with his mother, throwing things and hitting her. Police went to their W. Parr Avenue home and gave them advice.
