The Los Gatos High School Student Council has invited area high schools to attend a May 3 party mixer in the small gym. The 8 to 11 p.m. event will feature performances by student bands Mic Dynamics, Habanero and the LGHS Tech Crew DJs; pizza; a dance contest; and raffle prizes. Community Against Substance Abuse, the school's Home and School Club, the Outhouse and Southwest YMCA are among the sponsors.
Student identification is required for admittance, and the cost is $5, $1 of which will be donated to the Passion in Music scholarship fund established in the memory of Los Gatos High School senior Eric Quesada.

special honor
at Gonzaga
Los Gatan Kathryn Carol Aumack, known as "Kacey," was named to the fall semester president's list at Gonzaga University in Spokane, Wash. Aumack, a freshman, earned a grade-point average of more than 3.7. Aumack graduated from Archbishop Mitty High School in June.
Diners can help out schools by
eating dinner
Dine out each Tuesday evening at a specified Los Gatos eatery and the restaurant will donate a percentage of the dinner total to the Los Gatos Education Foundation to benefit the Los Gatos Unified School District. This event is held weekly at a different area restaurant. On April 29, dine at Round Table Pizza, 57 N. Santa Cruz Ave., and the restaurant will donate 15 percent.
