Court Order Violation—April 23, 8:28 p.m. In a N. Santa Cruz Avenue bar, a man was standing a few feet away from a woman who had a restraining order against him. The man then left the bar. The woman was afraid that he was going to damage her car; she did not know if he was trying to contact her because he did not speak to her. Police found out that the man was supposed to meet coworkers at the bar but walked inside and saw the woman, then turned around and walked out. The bartender verified his story, saying the man was belligerent but had no intent to follow the woman.
Call for Help—April 23, 8:14 p.m. Two men were heard calling for help from the homeless encampment near Woodland Avenue. The resident who heard the calls tried looking around the bushes but asked police for assistance. They found the two men, who were actually looking for their friend and found him.
Garbage Complaint—April 23, 5:29 p.m. Someone was dumping garbage onto a Los Gatos Boulevard lot. The person suspected of doing so said he had not but said he would contact his employees to make sure that they were not either.
Trespassing—April 23, 4:39 p.m. A resident on Birch Wood Court was having problems with two teen boys who kept peering into her windows and leaving cigarette butts in her yard. Police gave advice to the boys' parents to help them resolve the problem but did not take a report.
DUI—April 23, 2:34 a.m. A car drove onto an embankment in the King's Court Shopping Center parking lot and hit a street light, tipping it over. The vehicle was not driveable. Police arrested the driver for driving under the influence.
Injured Person—April 22, 5:38 p.m. A woman was on the ground at Shannon Road; others thought she had been hit by a car and called fire and medical personnel to the scene. The woman had fallen when a dog leash wrapped around her legs. By the time emergency crews arrived, she had left the scene.
Malicious Mischief—April 22, 1:11 p.m. On Poppy Lane, a car that was parked on the roadway had both its passenger side doors smashed in. The person who did it had not entered the vehicle. Police took a report.
Stolen Check—April 22, 1:04 p.m. A resident of Walnut Avenue reported that a check had been stolen, possibly from the house. The check was cashed for $1,250 by an unknown person.
Obscene Phone Calls—April 22, 10:02 a.m. Someone was calling a woman who lived on Avery Lane 18 times one day, saying obscene things and telling her he was from prison. The victim's boyfriend called police but did not want to make a report, merely wishing to make officers aware of the situation.
