Matt Barbaccia and Cody Tripp, both eighth graders at Fisher Middle School, are members of the Santa Clara Blackhawks, a bantam division traveling ice hockey team that recently won the Northern California championship in Roseville.


3-on-3 hoops

Los Gatos will host the Wildcats 3-on-3 Hoopfest on May 16­18 at the high school. There will be divisions for junior high, frosh-soph, varsity, high school open and men's over-35 teams. Hoop camps

The Los Gatos Wildcat Summer Basketball Camps will return to the high school gym this summer—June 16­20 for players ages 13­15 and June 16­20 and 23­27 for players ages 7­12.

The camp fee for the older players is $65 and camp hours are 1­3 p.m. The fee for the younger players is $95 and camp hours are 9 a.m.­noon on June 16­20 and 1­4 p.m. on June 23­27.

Wrestling camp

The 14th annual Wildcat Wrestling Camp for Kids returns to Los Gatos High School this summer, with a session for beginners to intermediate wrestlers ages 7­12 July 7­11 and a session for intermediates in grades 6­9 July 14­18.

Los Gatos wrestling coach Scott Downs is camp director.
