'Loving Life' group has last meeting of year

The "Alive ... and Loving Life" group, formed to increase safety and support for teens in Los Gatos, has its last formal gathering of the year on June 3. The group will discuss grant applications, set a date for a second community workshop and hear an update on its various projects.

The meeting starts at 3 p.m. at the Los Gatos­Saratoga Union High School District offices.

Second Rotary club to meet for breakfast

A second Rotary club, called the Rotary Club of Los Gatos-Breakfast, will open next month.

The first meeting of the new club is set for 7:30 a.m. on June 18 at the Los Gatos Lodge, with Jim Walker as the special guest. Walker is a former district governor for the local Rotary district. Air district seeks volunteers to serve on board

The Bay Area Air Quality Management District is accepting applications from medical professionals interested in serving as an alternate member on the district's hearing board. Board members meet two or three times per month, usually on Thursdays, in San Francisco. Members receive $400 per meeting day, plus necessary expenses. Call the clerk of the boards at 415.749.4965 for an application, which is due by 5 p.m. May 30.
