Assault with a Deadly Weapon—May 28, 11:36 p.m. A 38-year-old man was out of control in an Anne Way residence. His brother called police, and the man was yelling in the background. The dispatcher was told that he had hurt someone at the home. The phone then was disconnected; dispatch attempted to contact the caller, but the phone was hung up again. Police arrested the man for assault with a deadly weapon and violating probation. A 29-year-old woman at the house was also arrested, for parole violation.

Elderly Male—May 28, 8:12 p.m. A man in a wheelchair showed up at a Blossom Hill Road home, but the resident did not know him. The man complained of pain. Police found that there was a $10,000 San Jose Police Department warrant on the man in the wheelchair for trespassing and violating a municipal code. The case was referred to San Jose police.

Argument—May 28, 6:29 p.m. A man was refusing to leave a N. Santa Cruz Avenue business. The 35-year-old was the ex-boyfriend of an employee at the business. He left, and the woman told police she would call them if he returned.

Injured Person—May 28, 6:11 p.m. On Village Lane, a man fell as he was getting out of a taxicab. He tripped on the sidewalk. Although he was slipping in and out of consciousness, he was uncooperative with police and was found to be intoxicated. He was taken to the hospital.

Suspicious Vehicle—May 28, 5:53 p.m. A van was parked facing the wrong direction on Pennsylvania Avenue, near Fairview Avenue. Someone witnessed the male in the vehicle throw something at the house on the corner. Police discovered that the people in the van were juveniles waiting for their father and that they had just thrown an orange into the bushes.

Unstable Person—May 28, 5:33 p.m. A 25-year-old man was walking on Bean Avenue toward Tait Avenue. According to the reporting party, he had argued with a priest and thrown a knife into some bushes. He also was allegedly carrying marijuana. Police caught up with him on S. Santa Cruz Avenue, where he then started having difficulty breathing and began shaking. Police were told that he was bipolar. He was transported to the hospital.

Welfare Check—May 28, 4:02 p.m. A man was seen in an electric wheelchair going eastbound on Camino Del Cerro. Police checked the area and were unable to locate him.

Burglary—May 28, 1:46 a.m. Some men were walking up and down W. Parr Avenue, peering into cars. When a resident on the street heard someone jacking up a car; her husband and son went outside to look. According to the family, the suspects took off in a gray Lincoln and went in the direction of Campbell. Campbell police were contacted. Car stereo speakers, CD cases and some CDs had been taken out of a car parked on the street.

Suspicious Person—May 27, 3:13 p.m. Two people were on San Benito Avenue, pounding on the door of a house. They were magazine solicitors. Police advised them of town code.

Welfare Check—May 27, 1:36 p.m. At a Blossom Hill Park, a mother was with her baby, who was wearing heavy clothes. Someone called police, saying the baby was "overly warm," wearing a cap and long-sleeved sleeper. They were gone when police arrived.
