Clementsen

Clark Clementsen died on May 11 at his home in Raleigh, N.C. He was 53 years old.

Clementsen was born on Feb. 26, 1950, in New York City and grew up in Connecticut. At the age of 18 he moved to the Bay Area, where he resided until moving to North Carolina several years before his death. Clementsen owned and operated the Clark Clementsen Salon in Los Gatos for more than 15 years. He was an active volunteer at Blossom Hill School and worked in the child advocates program with the Children's Shelter of Santa Clara County.

He is survived by his parents, Arthur and Laura Clementsen, and his goddaughter, Nicole Biondi. A public memorial was held in his memory on June 8 at Cafe Primavera in Los Gatos.


Martin

Peter Kilburn Martin died on May 12 at his home in Anacortes, Wash. He was 58.

Martin was born on May 26, 1944, in San Jose. Raised in Los Gatos, Martin graduated from Saratoga High School in 1963, going on to serve in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War as a jet engine mechanic until 1968.

After fulfilling his military service, Martin became a general contractor, opening his own business, Martin Building Service Inc., in Washington.

He is survived by his wife, Bev Martin, son and daughter-in-law Bryan and Michelle Costanza, sons Keith Costanza, Ken Costanza, Matt Martin, daughter and son-in-law Jenn and Dave Ward, four grandchildren and brother Tim Martin. Private services have been held. Memorial gifts may be donated to the Anacortes Christian Church Building Fund, Att: Pastor John Douglas, 1211 M Ave., Anacortes, WA 98221.
