Davis

Duke Davis died on June 7 at his home in Los Gatos. He was 80.

Davis was born on Jan. 20, 1923, in Washington. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II, and worked in real estate for 40 years, developing more than100 subdivisions in the Los Gatos area. He was a longtime member of the First Baptist Community Church of Los Gatos, and was a founding member of the San Jose Swim and Racquet Club.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Winona Davis, his son and daughter-in-law Scott and Joan Davis, daughter and son-in-law Joy and Dale Kirkpatrick, daughter and son-in-law Brooke and Lawrence Ottum, daughter Kathleen Pettit, brother Leonard Davis, and seven grandchildren.

A memorial service has been held. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his name to The Ted Bert Science Scholarship Fund, 5043 American Ave., Modesto, 95356; the First Baptist Community Church, 17765 Daves Ave., Los Gatos, 95030; or Pathways, 201 San Antonio Circle, Suite 135, Mountain View, 94040.


Fauvre

Edward B. Fauvre died unexpectedly on June 10 in San Jose. He was 72.

Fauvre was born on April 8, 1931, in Massachusetts. An engineer by trade, Fauvre's true love was painting abstract expressionist art.

He is survived by his wife, Kathleen Bruce-Fauvre, daughters Kelly Fauvre and Julie Kaniuth, and son Adam Fauvre.

Services have been held. Memorial contributions may be made to any charity in his name.
