Gemma Michaelis and Derek Krug were married in Los Gatos on May 10.

The bride is the daughter of Mike and Diane Michaelis of Los Gatos. A graduate of Los Gatos High School and the University of Oregon, she works in sales for Mercury Interactive in Sunnyvale.

The groom is the son of Paul and Kathleen Krug of Los Gatos. He is a Los Gatos High School and University of Oregon graduate, and works as a business analyst for the Altera Corporation in San Jose.

The Rev. Christopher Bransfield performed the ceremony at St. Mary's Church.

After the ceremony, a tropical-themed reception was held at the Opera House in Los Gatos. The couple first met in high school at a street party held in front of the Opera House.

The newlyweds plan to honeymoon in Maui, and reside in Almaden Valley upon their return.
