Honoring service personnel part of town's July fourth celebration
By Mandy Major
Sparking community spirit has never been a problem for Los Gatos, and it shouldn't be any different this Fourth of July as the town fires up real cannons and provides entertainment for the whole family.

Expect a full day of fun, food and festivities for all ages with bingo, Bounce Houses and bands rounding out the patriotic celebration.

Nearly all of the events will take place at the town's civic center lawn, located at 110 E. Main St., except for the San Jose Wind Symphony performance, which will take place on the lawn of Los Gatos High School.

Parking and roadways will be open as usual, except for Fiesta Way, which will be closed between E. Main Street and Villa Avenue.

Although the event schedule is set, one addition is still in the works between the town and Michael Frangadakis, the director of the Los Gatos Rotary Club's Operation Yellow Ribbon Campaign. Frangadakis is seeking local service people who have served recently to be part of a special ceremony in which the town will present them with an honorary medallion. Contact Frangadakis with any information on service people at 408.354.4992.
