PROWLER IN PROGRESS—July 23, 11:48 p.m. A caller reported hearing footsteps to the side of a house on Vineland Avenue in Monte Sereno. The caller turned on a light and heard someone running toward the backyard of the residence. Officers checked the house and surrounding area and found it to be safe and clear.
TRESPASSING—July 23, 10:57 p.m. A caller reported a group of juveniles having a party in the backyard of a home on Ayala Court. The caller said the home had recently been sold and was thought to be unoccupied, but the people inside the residence were found to be housesitting.
VANDALISM—July 23, 12:46 a.m. A caller reported that her boyfriend's car had been egged and was requesting extra patrol on Overlook Road and the surrounding area.
VANDALISM—July 23, 11:24 a.m. A paintball gun was used to damage a front window of a house on E. Main Street sometime between the evening of July 21 and the morning of July 23.
SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE—July 23, 10:17 a.m. A subject in an older white mail truck that was no longer being used as a postal vehicle was seen putting cards into mailboxes on More Avenue and Bicknell Road. Officials told the subject to stop delivering the items and advised the person to seek a permit to distribute the information.
SUSPICIOUS VEHICLE—July 23, 9:05 a.m. A subject was seen in a white Jeep mail truck on Via Caballero and Via Encantada in Monte Sereno delivering business cards to mailboxes.
SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES—July 23, 1:13 a.m. A caller advised officials that someone was on top of the roof walking around to the rear of a business on Blossom Hill Road near the loading dock. The person was least seen running eastbound on Blossom Hill Road.
DEAD DEER—July 23, midnight. A caller notified officials that someone had hit a deer about five minutes earlier in front of their residence on Blossom Hill Road. The deer was found to be dead.
