Missing Vehicle—Aug. 6, 3 p.m. A white 2002 Honda Civic was reported missing from a parking lot on Los Gatos Boulevard. The vehicle was being detailed at the location prior to being sold. It had been missing since Aug. 5, and there were no possible suspects reported.
Assault with a Deadly Weapon—Aug. 6, 10:31 a.m. A husband driving a white Saturn called to report that his wife, who was driving a Toyota 4-Runner, was following him in her car and deliberately hit his car from behind. The caller was trying to drive to the police department when she hit him again on Blossom Hill Road and Lu-Ray Drive. She was pulled over by authorities on E. Main Street and College Avenue. The cars were towed, and she was taken into custody at the main jail.
Meet the Citizen—Aug. 6, 9:52 a.m. A caller owning a duplex said he thought someone might be staying in one of his properties on Vasona Avenue without his permission. He requested officers meet him and perform extra patrol checks during the evening hours. The caller said he suspected the person was breaking into the residence to sleep at night.
Minor Accident—Aug. 6, 8:30 a.m. A caller who was hit on his motorcycle on Aug. 4 on Los GatosAlmaden Road and National Avenue said he was at home recovering from major bruising and 22 stitches.
Noise Disturbance—Aug. 6, 7:13 a.m. A caller said crews started using power saws at 7 a.m. in the area of Jackson Street and Central Avenue, but there was no construction found by officials.
Howling—Aug. 6, 6:46 am. A caller on Central Avenue said a dog had been howling since 4 a.m. No dog howling could be heard when police checked out the area.
Auto Burglary—Aug. 6, 1:58 a.m. A person was seen breaking into a maroon 1991 Ford wagon in the rear of a business on Union Avenue. The San Jose Police Department requested permission to search the vehicle for any property inside the car not belonging to its owner.
Drunk Driving—Aug. 6, 1:09 a.m. Police arrested a male on Blossom Hill Road and Union Avenue for being unlawful to drive under the influence of alcohol and under the age of 21. He was also in the possession of a concealed weapon.
Prowler in Progress—Aug. 6, 2:03 a.m. A woman reported hearing someone breaking wood to the right side of her house. The caller also thought she heard something on the roof, but no animals could be seen in the yard or house. The caller no longer heard the noise after a few minutes, and the area of San Benito Avenue in Monte Sereno was found to be safe by officials.
Assault with a Deadly Weapon Against a Peace Officer—Aug. 5, 11:37 p.m. Officer Todd Fleming followed a vehicle for traffic violations and speeding on Leigh Avenue and Los GatosAlmaden Road. The driver was finally cornered in a court, where he rammed into the officer's car and drove out of the court. He then left the car on the street and fled on foot. The Hispanic male in his 20s was last seen wearing a white T-shirt and has a shaved head. A man matching the description of the suspect was last seen exiting a bus in front of the Los Gatos Library on E. Main Street, and officials are still pursuing the investigation.
