The Los GatosSaratoga Magic girls 12-and-under all-star softball team placed second in the George Feeley Classic tournament held in San Mateo July 2627. After struggling in the initial seeding rounds, the Magic came on strong in the playoffs. Led by the pitching of Emily Nelson and strong offensive contributions by Rachel and Nicole Sabes, the Magic easily defeated two higher seeds before losing 5-2 to a more experienced Burlingame team in the finals. The members of the team are Cathryn Paolini, Rachel Sabes, Nicole Gragnola, Laura Ruddy, Greta Wicht, Nichole Lovetro, Niki Yamamura, Briana Campbell, Sarah Floyd, Jackie Gragnola, Emily Nelson and Nicole Sabes.
Several of the girls were also on the Ravens team that won the end-of-season Los GatosSaratoga Girls Softball Association tournament. The players were Danielle Fisher, Amy Highstreet, Kendra Waitte, Breanna Arnold, Victoria Azzi, Lisa Furlo, Katie Abelson, Victoria Breidenthal, Yamamura, Tracy Vargo, Alexa Kiel and Alicia Anderson.
The 10-and-under softball team that won its tournament included Emily Scher, Andrea Taormina, Kaitlin Dolan, Caroline Baden, Melissa Wilcox, Jaclyn Blackwell, Elsa Moyer, Gaby Kapp, Sara Swanson, Lexy Marchbank, Ali Scullion, Beth Williams and Devan Mairose.
