St. Mary's will host weekend country fair

St. Mary's School prepares to host its annual country fair Oct. 10­12. Families can look forward to food and crafts, amusement rides and live music. Beer and wine will be sold onsite. The event runs from 5 to 10 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. The Joe Sharino Band will perform Saturday at 7 p.m. Proceeds will go toward supplementing school programs, teachers' salaries and the parish's general fund. The school is located at 219 Bean Ave. in Los Gatos. Attendees should plan to park around the school. For information, call 408.354.3944.


Planters applications due Oct. 17

Anyone who wishes to adopt one of the 29 planters on Santa Cruz Avenue must submit an application by Oct. 17. The adopter must commit to purchasing, planting and maintaining the plants for 18 months, with three seasonal changeouts of plants. Anyone in town may apply. The planting will begin Nov. 10. SCORE pays second visit to town

Due to the popular demand for SCORE counseling, the town of Los Gatos Chamber of Commerce, in conjunction with the Saratoga Chamber of Commerce, will add a second counseling session this month. Four slots are available throughout the morning of Oct. 23.
