Claire Landers
Claire Noël Landers died Oct. 1 at her home in West Linn, Ore., after a battle with multiple myeloma. She was 48.
Born Dec. 21, 1955, in San Jose, Landers attended Los Gatos schools, graduating from Los Gatos High School in 1974. She graduated from UCSanta Barbara, and then moved to Oregon in 1979. She married Jeff Landers in 1980. While in Oregon, she was employed by Tektronix, Sequent, and IBM. She was an avid quilter and studied dance for 10 years with the West Valley Ballet.
She is survived by her husband, Jeff, sons Justin and Alex of West Linn, mother Shirley Egan of Los Gatos, sister and brother-in-law Alison and James Ryan of Beaverton, Ore., brother and sister-in-law Dennis and Carolyn Egan of Wayland, Mass., and brother and sister-in-law Brian and Patty Egan of Waldport, Ore.

Estelle Suhr
Estelle Lorraine Burk Suhr died at her home in Los Gatos on Sept. 9. She was 92.
Born on Nov. 2, 1910, in Watertown, S.D., Suhr grew up in the Dakotas and Minnesota. She married Thomas A. Suhr Jr. in 1932. The couple lived in Seattle, Wash., for several years before moving to Los Gatos in 1946.
Suhr was a longtime member of the Los Gatos Presbyterian Church, where she was active in the church bell choir, covenant groups, prayer chain, Clipper Club, and Humanities and Arts Commission. She was a former member of the Los Gatos Square Dancers and a watercolor and acrylic painter.
She is survived by daughters Diane Egli of Los Gatos and Pamela Tucker of Fredericksburg, Texas, five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Services have been held. Donations in her honor may be made to the American Heart Association, Hospice of Kaiser Santa Clara, the Presbyterian Women's Association, or the Presbyterian Humanities and Arts Commission.
