Come rain or shine, there will be no stopping the 47th annual Children's Christmas and Holiday Parade from coming to town on Dec. 6.
There is only one catch—groups are still needed to don festive fashions and get out to inspire some holiday spirit.
Decorated cars, floats, marching units, and trucks are all welcome to enter, just no limos and no Santa look-a-likes.
The parade begins at 11 a.m. from the corner of Almendra Avenue and N. Santa Cruz Avenue. Participants continue onto Main Street until reaching the grounds of Los Gatos High School.
Sponsored by the Los Gatos Lions Club and Los GatosSaratoga Community Education and Recreation Department, this annual event is the way to kick into holiday overdrive.
Entries are being accepted until Nov. 14 at 4 p.m. Obtain and return entries at 123 E. Main Street, Los Gatos, 95030. For more information, call Susan at the recreation center at 408.354.8700 ext. 250.
Old photographs?
The Los Gatos Weekly-Times is looking for photographs of past parades and former parade participants. Anyone in possession of such photographs is encouraged to contact the newspaper at 408.354.3110.
